About SACUCCI

SACUCCI is more than a name — it’s a mindset.
It’s formed from seven core values that guide everything we design and make: Sense, Artistry, Curiosity, Unique, Craftsmanship, Care, and Imagination.
Together, they define our approach to timber: thoughtful, expressive, and uncompromising — where imagination is grounded in craft, and every detail is made with intent.

SACUCCI has 31 years of excellence in timber joinery, with artisans shaping our culture since 1993.

We have an Australian branch located at the Alexandria Homemaker Centre in NSW, and our manufacturing facilities are located in China.

Our philosophy is “Master in Wood, Believer in Life,” focusing on private, handcrafted, and customized woodwork that integrates art into home aesthetics.

While many focus on machine efficiency, we focus on craftsmanship. Advanced machinery supports our work, but it is never the story—precision is simply the baseline. In high-end timberwork, true quality is defined by the hand, the material, and the judgement behind every finish.

Design & Customization

After working with many materials, we still choose solid timber for one reason: no two pieces are ever the same. Each board has its own grain, weight and character. That individuality can’t be manufactured—it has to be understood and respected.
Timber responds to the hand. It allows refinement, adjustment and judgement in a way engineered surfaces simply don’t. Machines give us precision, but it’s handwork that gives the material depth, warmth and life.
Most importantly, timber lives with people. It ages, takes on touch, and becomes part of a home. You feel it straight away in our showroom—the surface is warmer, more grounded, and unmistakably different from veneer.

Our design is led by two Italian designers working from complementary perspectives.

David Dolcini, as Brand Creative Director, defines the overall creative vision and design language, while Michele Mantovani, our Design & R&D Partner, drives architectural research, innovation, and technical development.

Together, they refine the design from different angles and guide its evolution in a forward-looking, trend-setting direction.

Craftsmanship & Quality

Yes — all our timber is sustainably sourced and FSR certified, meeting recognised standards for responsible forest management.
Our materials come exclusively from managed plantations, never tropical rainforests. Under these forestry practices, 120% of harvested trees are replanted within the same forest area, supporting long-term sustainability of the resource.
FSR certificates are available for review upon request.

We utilize seven specific manual techniques: planning, carving, scraping, grinding, cutting, rubbing, and pulling. For more information, please check the handcrafted excellence page.

At SACUCCI, craftsmanship begins in the hands of the maker. Traditional woodworking skills are passed down through generations, refined by experience and elevated through the integration of modern production technologies. This balance of heritage and innovation allows us to approach every project with flexibility, precision, and a deep respect for the individuality of wood.

Absolutely. We value the natural uniqueness of wood, ensuring that every piece we create is one-of-a-kind.

We specialize in advanced customization of wood, utilizing a combination of high-quality materials to achieve both beauty and structural integrity. While we honor the timeless value of natural timber, our designs often incorporate grain-revealing finishes and Soft-touch coatings that highlight the unique charm of the wood’s surface. Our technical solutions, such as soundproofing and dust prevention for room doors, are engineered using the best material combinations for the specific application.

To help us provide the most accurate and creative “personalized design solutions,” please consider preparing the following:

  • Architectural Plans or Drawings: If you are working on a new build or major renovation, providing your current floor plans and section drawings is essential for us to understand the spatial requirements for items like pivot, sliding, or concealed doors.
  • Project Inspiration: Share any mood boards, sketches, or specific design influences you admire. This helps our team deliver the “boundless imagination” and “free artistic expression” SACUCCI is known for.
  • Specific Functional Needs: Identify any technical requirements, such as soundproofing or dust prevention for your room doors or the functions needed for your new kitchen and anything you don’t like in the current space, so we can understand your needs clearly from the start.
  • Site Schedule: Providing your expected timeline for “on-site work” allows our Sydney installation team to coordinate effectively with your other contractors.

From final design approval to delivery, our bespoke pieces typically take 4–6 months, a timeline that honours the meticulous craftsmanship behind each creation. Larger projects may require an extra month. Installation times vary with site conditions, ensuring every piece arrives and settles perfectly, embodying the luxury, care, and longevity you expect from SACUCCI.

Before formal installation, our team will visit the site to inspect the foundation and verify all dimensions. If any discrepancies with the drawings are found, we will coordinate with your builder or contractor to resolve them.
Prior to the arrival of our products, the site should be cleared of any unrelated materials or tools to ensure sufficient space for safe storage and installation. If the flooring is already in place, please protect it with a hard surface to prevent scratches.
We also recommend that walls and ceilings receive only a single coat of primer at this stage. Final painting, including touch-ups after installation, can be completed once our work is finished to achieve a flawless result.

SACUCCI manages the entire logistics chain from our manufacturing facility to your site in Sydney. Every piece is securely crated to protect its surfaces—such as our matte Italian water-based stains or yacht high-gloss paint—during transit. We handle all customs documentation and international freight requirements, ensuring that your custom woodwork arrives safely and is ready for our local team to install.

Installation & Aftercare

  • Expert Teams – All installations are performed by our dedicated Australian-based specialists, fully trained in our unique joinery systems—from heavy-duty pivot doors to intricate hardware.
  • Precision Alignment – Natural timber “breathes,” so our installers use precision tools to ensure perfect alignment and smooth functionality. Once the product is level and plumb, it is securely fixed to walls and floors to prevent any movement.
  • White-Glove Site Care – We treat your home as the masterpiece it is becoming. Our team follows a strict clean-site protocol, including protective floor coverings, dust-extraction tools for on-site adjustments, and a thorough final cleaning of all timber surfaces. Should additional work follow ours, we apply protective films to safeguard your new pieces after your final inspection and sign-off.
  • Respect for the Environment – All packaging is responsibly removed and recycled, leaving your home pristine, with nothing but your bespoke timber work on display.

We maintain a seamless bridge between our Sydney design branch and our factory. Every piece undergoes a multi-stage inspection process based on our 31-year heritage of excellence. Our Italian design partners oversee the technical specifications to ensure that the craftsmanship meets international luxury standards before any piece is shipped.

Australia’s climate presents unique challenges for solid timber, and slight movement, minor cracking, or expansion and contraction are natural expressions of its authenticity — not defects. To ensure stability and longevity, we take a comprehensive approach long before timber reaches your home.

First, our timber is stored at our factory for three years, exposed to natural sun and rain, allowing its internal and surface moisture levels to gradually balance and acclimatise to real-world conditions. Next, we use our patented large-scale drying technology, combining microwave and conventional methods, to precisely match the timber’s moisture content to the destination environment while minimising color change. During production, timber undergoes multiple drying cycles to maintain stability before we seal it with premium finishes.

We also employ traditional mortise & tenon joinery, interlocking timber components without nails and allowing hidden gaps for natural expansion and contraction, maintaining both structural integrity and aesthetic perfection.

Despite these stabilisation processes, we preserve the wood’s natural “life,” warmth, and tactile richness rather than over-stabilising or carbonising it. This ensures the luxurious texture and character that only real timber can offer. We advise clients to maintain appropriate indoor humidity and temperature, especially under extreme conditions, to support the timber’s stability and allow it to age gracefully, enhancing its beauty over time.

We offer a statutory 7 year warranty. Also, some of our hardware is guaranteed for life by the manufacturer.
