This project is defined by restraint and material honesty. Timber serves as the core language, shaping space through texture, proportion, and light rather than overt expression. A subdued palette allows natural light and shadow to animate the interior, creating a calm, comfortable home that evolves gracefully with time.

02 | Form concealed, space revealed
The daughter’s room is lighter in spirit, but no less considered. We approached it as a protective envelope—soft, calm, and quietly optimistic.

The walls are wrapped in rosewood with a water-based finish. This allows the timber to remain breathable, to age naturally. Over time, it will develop a subtle glow—something no synthetic coating can replicate. Timber, when allowed to mature, brings life into a room rather than sealing it out.
Natural timber tones paired with ivory white create a sense of ease. When the door slides away into the wall, the room completes itself. The veneer continues uninterrupted, dissolving the boundary between entry and interior. You don’t notice the door straight away—and that’s exactly the point.
